F. B. "Captain Fish" Fishburne 

December 13, 1925 was the Death of Captain Francis B. "Fish" Fishburne of Columbia, SC,  a great patron, organizer of the game, and many times Southern Tourney Champion.  In 1910 Fish won 3 games from the checker playing "Ajeeb" at the Eden Musée wax museum on West 23rd Street in NYC. He played many match game matches and exhibition matches.
